OV2 - Phase 1 : Sequence of tasks
The following sequence of tasks is recommended for the Workshop.
- Chapter 1 - Where applicable : Entering Club Name and Registration code
- Chapter 2 - Setting Up a New Database
- Chapter 3 - Setting Up a Finish Time Entry facility (FTE 1)
- Chapter 5 - Setting Up one or more Parent Handicap Series (PHC)
- Chapter 7 - Setting Up a New Race in one or more of the Parent Handicap Series (PHC)
- Chapter 8 - Entering New Competitors in a Race, Series and Database
and creating new Yardsticks when prompted to do so (Chapter 18)
- Chapter 9 - Entering Finish Times either into the FTE 1, or directly into the PHC Series Race
- Chapter 10 - Processing a Race and Viewing its Results
- Chapter 12 - Keeping a Logbook of PHC Series Race details
The Input Data for Division Group 1011 (the Minnows) consists of 5 consecutive Pointscore Races, which can be entered separately race by race without the need of the FTE 1. This is perhaps a good way to start for those who are absolutely new to Top Yacht.
