13. Setting up a Daughter Series

A Daughter Series can be set up at any time, but rather than doing this right at the beginning of the season I suggest you wait with this at least until the last race in the Daughter Series has been completed.
If the results are not being presented until the end of the season (e.g. in Darwin at their Presentation Night) you may even wish to wait until then. It is important to process results in a Daughter Series when you can do this in peace and quiet and and can take your time doing it.

As explained in the previous Chapter the DSC uses two types of Daughter Series.
For a Daughter Series in a Division Group both times and handicaps are imported from the PHC .
Example : Pointscore Series for Division Group 6 and 7.

  • Select Administration mode > > top Menu Bar > > Series > > Create New Series

The "SeriesSUWizardForm" appears.

  1. Page 1 - Type in the Series name : D67 - Pointscore Series

  2. Page 1 - Select from Series Type list : Dinghies/Cats Mixed Classes/Types

  3. Page 1 - Click the Specify radio button, then type in 5, 9 and 14

  4. Page 1 - Select Accept, then Next
